Stonington 8th Grades Postphone Washington Trip
Mystic & Pawcatuck middle school 8th grades have postphoned their annual trip to Washington D.C. that was planned for October until March 2002. The trips were postphoned after the state Dept. of Education decided to delay the upcoming Mastery Tests. The state education department made this decision due to the number of students in Western CT who have been personally affected by the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001.

The Savings Institute in Willimantic has established the Savings Institute Disaster Relief Fund
The Danielson Rotary Club is collecting funds for the American Red Cross. Mail donations to Northeast Connecticut Disaster Relief Effort, in care of the Rotary at P.O. Box 394, Danielson, CT 06239, or drop off at any Putnam Savings Bank Branch.
