ROWLAND RESIGNS!!

At a 6 PM news conference today (June 21 2004) Governor John Rowland announced that he is resigning, effective July 1 2004.

Lt. Gov. Jodi Rell will serve as governor for the final two years of the Rowland term. Senate President Pro Tem Kevin Sullivan, a Democrat from West Hartford, will become the new lieutenant governor. [READ MORE]
