About Courage and . . . Love

Photo of Jasmin Ariel Floyd

There been lots of talk about courage and heroes lately - and speculation about the nature of courage and how courage is developed. So, what is courage? The root of the word courage, "coeur", is from the French . . . meaning heart. Where does the courage come from? Where does the courage to face a rare genetic disease that causes bone to form in the muscles, tendons and other connective tissue, forming a second skeleton that is immobilizing your body come from? Jasmin knows. Jasmin's mom & dad know, too. So do all the other folks affected by Fibrodysplasia (Myositis) Ossificans Progressiva (FOP).

Jasmin Ariel Floyd and her family live in Eastford, CT. When Jasmin was 51/2 she was diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva. Jasmin and her parents began Jasmin Ariel Creations to highlight Jasmin's artistic talents and to raise awareness about FOP. Could courage come from the same part of the heart as love? Judge for yourself . . . Visit Jasmin's web site
