Meet the Milky Way Galaxy through an immersive, 3D computer-animated fly-through of the Milky Way Galaxy. Discover our dynamic, evolving galaxy filled with stars like the Sun and exotic objects such as supernovae, neutron stars and black holes. Learn how we and our Solar System fit into the Galaxy. The Adler is home to more than 35,000 square feet of exhibits. From scale models of the Solar System, to ancient astronomical instruments, to interactive adventures, our exhibit galleries provide a passageway for you to explore the universe.
Regular Schedule Hours: Monday - Sunday 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.,
First Friday of every month 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Summer Schedule: (Memorial Day through Labor Day) Monday - Sunday 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., First Friday of every month 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Near downtown Chicago, the museum is part of a lakefront Museum Campus that includes the John G. Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum. Houses biological and anthropological collections - permanent exhibits topics include Animals, Plants & Ecosystems, Rocks and Fossils.
Hours: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. Last admission at 4 p.m. Open every day except Christmas.
